Jerusalem

No other place like it. Period.

The capital of Israel, the holiest city in the world to billions of people, one of the most famous cities ever – there’s simply not another city like Jerusalem. Overwhelmingly beautiful and powerful to experience, Jerusalem is where 3,000+ years of pivotal history and rich heritage find home alongside of innovation and cosmopolitan living.

Jewish Quarter, Jerusalem

The Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem’s Old City is one of the four quarters of the walled city. The quarter is home to around 2,000 people and covers about 0.1 square kilometers.

It is also the location of many tens of synagogues and yeshivas (places of the study of Jewish texts) and has been almost continually home to Jews since the century 8 BCE. Today, the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem is a fascinating place to explore with museums, synagogues, and of course, the Western Wall its main attractions. As well as these, however, just walking through the alleyways and watching the religious inhabitants go about their daily lives is just as fascinating.

A thoroughly moving spiritual experience

A visit to the Western Wall. The Western Wall, also known as the ‘Wailing Wall” or the “Kotel”, is the most revered religious site in the world for the Jewish people.

Located in the Old City of Jerusalem, it is the last remaining outer support wall of the ancient Jerusalem Temple and an incredibly important site of modern Israeli history. Thousands of people of all faiths journey to the wall every year to visit, reflect and recite prayers. Traditionally, these prayers are either spoken or written down and placed in the cracks of the ancient wall. It is a mighty sight to behold.

An eye-catching hill for eye- catching views

Those who love spectacular views from high above must visit Mount of Olives (2684 ft.), the highest point in ancient Jerusalem.

Among the sites to visit are the Garden of Gethsemane, City of David, Mt Zion and the location of the Last Supper and King David’s Tomb.  All are beautiful spots for aerial photography as well as selfies.
